Description
Although Led Zeppelin, the group's debut album, became one of the pivotal records in the creation of heavy metal music, this second album Led Zeppelin II, is generally regarded as one of the greatest and most influential rock albums ever recorded. It was the band's first album to feature Jimmy Page playing a 1959 Gibson Les Paul, the electric guitar that he helped to popularise, and another first for the album was the utilisation of the recording techniques of engineer Eddie Kramer, who had previously worked with Jimmy Hendrix.
This copy has The Lemon Song listing on the sleeve, but Killing Floor on the label.
The HEAD HUNTERS inner sleeve is a collectible in its own right, as a very limited number were made, so this is a nice plus when paired with one of the best rock albums ever made. It has a superb black and white collage of contemporary rock groups of the time, including Led Zeppelin, Dr John, Yes, Velvet Underground and many others.
The E J Day gatefold sleeve is in quite good condition considering that it is unlaminated. Understandably, there is scuffing to the edges, but otherwise it is sound and free from tears, stickers and writing. The rare HEAD HUNTERS inner sleeve does have a 4cm split at the bottom, but otherwise it is clean and free from stickers and writing. The vinyl is nice and shiny and in excellent condition apart from a small scratch on side 1 and a couple on side 2. The labels are clean and the spindle hole shows little sign of wear. My grading for the vinyl is Very Good+ and the sleeve Very Good. However, should it not meet expectation I will accept its return and make refund of the amount paid, less postage.
I accept payment by cheque (UK only), PayPal, or cash if collected in person.
PLEASE NOTE: For countries other than Europe airmail cost will be £6.50 (please await invoice before paying).
The record will be despatched in a record mailer, with stiffeners.
