Description
Artist: Led Zeppelin Title: IV (4) Label: Atlantic Cat No: 2401012 Year: 1971 Country: UK
I am in the process of selling my Record Collection, this is a copy of the classic rare 1971 UK Red/Plum Atlantic release Led Zeppelin 4. The Vinyl plays great and is in VG++/Ex condition, the sleeve grades as VG+ - Matrix: Side 1 : 2401012 A3 `PECKO DUCK` Side 2: 2401012 B4 `PORKY`
Vinyl (VG++/EX) Thicker 150 gram Vinyl, looking at the vinyl surface under bright LED lights (which exposes any flaws) I can see just 3/4 hairlines, nothing feelable or deep, apart from this I can only see light sleeve removal scuffs (these are usual for this release as they are made by the rough textured inner lyric sleeve), Plays through great even on the quiet sections (this is due to the thickness of the vinyl) with no sticks or jumps etc, a very nice vinyl copy!!
Labels - Clean Red/Plum Atlantic labels - shows some visible spindle lines, but definitely not been overplayed in it`s 50+ years Inserts - The inner lyric sleeve is the original `Textured` feel with fold over flaps, this copy has knifing on all sides
Sleeve (VG+) Original Matt finish gatefold sleeve - be careful as people sometimes replace these with Glossy laminated later versions - this is because the original matt prints are very flimsy and prone to wear, this is a genuine original copy, definitely above average, without the usual bad ringwear, it has a nice spine, none of the usual grubbiness, it has some edgewear, a sharp opening (showing not overplayed), it has a small label removal mark front top right (Please see photos for complete overview)
I am in the process of selling lots of obscure & rare Records/CD`s, I will be posting regularly why not check them out! I use professionally made packers with card stiffeners & record removed from album cover
I use lots of photos to show as accurately as possible what you are getting (also I dont cut the corners of the record sleeve off the picture!!)
Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in Record Collector Magazine below:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Near Mint, EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
