Please be aware that changes to the processing of mail from outside the U.S.A. ordered by the (U.S.A.) In what would prove to be their swan song tour of the United States, during the summer of 1977, this 2-LP set finds the group in classic form at the L AForum where they treat the audience to a superb run through of songs from their by then extensive catalogue.

Starting with a boisterous Sick Again, they then move effortlessly into the bluesy Nobody’s Fault But Mine (from their then new album, Presence), Over The Hills and Far Away and follow that with an abbreviated take of Black Country Woman before briefly stepping back in time to deliver a brilliant version of Since I’ve Been Loving You. Then, pausing only to reflect on 1975 with Ten Years Gone, they delve into the quieter, more acoustic side of their repertoire with a couple of cuts from the legendary untitled fourth album, The Battle Of Evermore and, appropriately for the venue, Going To California.

Pagey then gives the others a short break while he showcases his ample guitar skills on a shortened version of the White Summer/Black Mountainside instrumental which, on this occasion, serves as a very tasteful introduction to the stirring Kashmir, for many the stand-out track on Physical Graffitti, and undoubtedly one of the band’s finest all-time songs.

And it’s followed the bone-crunching Trampled Underfoot, which sets the scene for a classic Zep finale comprising the monumental Stairway To Heaven which remains one of the few of the band’s songs to get an almost reverential hush - at least during the main vocal section - from the otherwise noisy audience. Then they’re back with an encore in the form of the evergreen Whole Lotta Love, introduced by the one and only KeithMoon who also guests on the number which segues into a rousing Rock ‘n’ Roll to bring the recording to a resounding close.

It is, quite simply, an excellent show, well laced with some entertaining audience banter, from the then number one act in the rock world.

The vinyls have been well looked-after, having been played just a handful of times and kept in poly-lined inner sleeves - included here - and, as a result, the playing surfaces are still very shiny and, when viewed in direct light, have very few, if any, obvious surface marks/imperfections. And a pre-auction play-through shows that, from the moment the needle enters the run-in groove on each side to the time it leaves the run-off, pretty much all you hear is the full-bodied sound of the music - plus the related, and at times considerable, audience appreciation - with some but relatively few extraneous background sounds during the tracks and just minimal surface noise on the run-ins/run-offs. Accordingly, these vinyl are graded mint (-).

Also, as you might expect from an album that has been played so little, the labels/centres have neither any wear to their spindle holes, nor any marks around them, and are free of any writing, stains, stickers or any other kind of blemish and, consequently, are also rated mint (-)”.

The sleeve, which has also been kept in a plastic cover since purchase, is a plain card, white top-opening single pocket with a predominantly blue, wrap-around featuring the songs and credits plus some photos. At 30 years old, it inevitably shows some, though few, signs of wear: the lower corners are very slightly squashed and the white surfaces have a sprinkling of very minor marks/scuffs.

Otherwise though, it is exceptionally good condition for its age, with clear vibrant colouring, no seam splits, clear and well-formed spines/vertical edges, a straight/clean lower edge, no open edge feathering, no ring-wear and smooth and very clean surfaces with no colour fade on the wrap, no tears, no writing, no stains or any other noticeable deterioration and, on this basis, is graded mint (-).

And, as a bonus, this excellent double album comes with 20 pages of Zep-related magazine cuttings comprising a three-part/13-page Rock History-Led Zeppelin feature from late 80s issues of Metal Hammer magazine, plus a 7-page Live Aid colour photo special from Metal Muscle magazine.

I accept payment via PayPal ONLY, so a PayPal account is required for you to bid and, as I require payment to be completed within 4 days of auction close, you MUST HAVE SUFFICIENT FUNDS in your (Paypal) account at the time of the auction closing, because payment by e-cheque - the way Paypal makes payments when there are insufficient funds to make an instant payment - will not usually arrive within the 4 days I allow. Please do not ask me to make an exception in your case as I no longer respond to these requests and have made my payment preferences clear at the start of this paragraph.

You may bid on multiple auctions ending on different days if the last auction ends seven days or less after the first. If you are bidding or want to bid on more than one of my auctions, please let me know after you win the first item/auction, so I know to delay sending your invoice until you tell me that you have finished bidding, You may pay for items at any time, but if you win multiple items you must then ensure that you complete full payment for them within four days of my sending the final invoice.                   If payment is not received within the specified time and via the payment method I have specified, the item may go to the next highest bidder or be relisted. If appropriate I will file non-paying bidder alerts with Ebay in order to recover my final value fees & will block that bidder from my future auctions and - if payment is only received as a result of my filing non-paying bidder - I will not accept a return or offer a refund if you subsequently have a complaint.

POSTAGE & SHIPPING

Postage rates are specified on each auction. (Not advised, but parcel post and surface mail rates are avaiIable if desired-please ask). I always weigh items for postage costs, and allow a bit extra for the packaging. I put a lot of effort and care into packaging, and often use custom, cut to fit sturdy cardboard, tubes, etc.. that has given excellent delivery results over the past 6 years. I will be happy to combine multiple purchases and hopefully be able to reduce the postage costs on your total. Royal Mail includes compensation cover (insurance) free on values currently up to £40 and, in some circumstances. I may add insurance on items over that amount for my own protection and yours.

I now normally ship twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays (if a holiday then the following day). Your package will usually be posted no later than the first Monday or Thursday following payment and I shall notfy you that it has been mailed.
