Description
Led Zeppelin’s May 31st, 1973 Los Angeles shows is one of the standards for any collection. Robert Plant himself calls this show “magic” and everyone is loose (in a good way) and in the mood to party. This is still the best sounding audience source of this legendary show, and was the very first to be issued - as Trade Mark of Quality label (TMOQ 72007) - soon after the concert took place. This guaranteed first pressing is on colored vinyl - one yellow and one blue - and disc one looks unplayed, with disc two not far behind. It is one of the earliest releases of its type, and one of the most famous due to its rarity & absolutely stellar content. This copy really couldn't be much nicer - except for a 6" split top seam and a few tiny marks on side 3 it is stunning museum-grade archive quality across the board. And it plays as nicely as a pressing of this nature ever could.
LP 1 condition : STONE MINT it looks unplayed and honestly couldn't possibly be nicer in any way
LP 2 condition : side 3 is VG+ due to a tiny spiral mark which each produce very light clicks for about a minute during the prune commercial and Plant's spoken introduction to "The Ocean" but it does not distract at all and doesn't affect a second of any of the actual music, there are also a few tiny surface hairlines which don't even begin to affect play, side 4 is solid M- and really couldn't be nicer
LABEL condtion : all labels are absolutely pristine, just like most of the vinyl
cover condition : VG due to 6" top seam split which obviously occurred by the necessity of housing 2 LPs in a single sleeve, mild bottom corner bumps & lower seam ding, no shelf wear at all but a few mild creases on the back and tiny sticker residue artifacts on the front, still very nice & clean overall
I have cleaned these LPs on a VPI HW-17F using the Audio Intelligent Vinyl Solutions multi-step proces. The discs are in brand-new poly-lined inner sleeves.
