ARTIST:  Led Zeppelin

?TITLE:  Led Zeppelin

LABEL:  Atlantic SD 8216

MONO/STEREO: Stereo (RARE PURPLE/TAN LABELS)

 

GRADE (RECORD): NEAR MINT, No spindle marks, incredibly clean vinyl, looks unplayed, gorgeous. There are a couple insignificant, inaudible scuff marks, most likely from the vinyl rubbing against the paper it has been sitting in, largely undisturbed, for 43 years.

 

GRADE (COVER): NEAR MINT, In the shrink (partially torn at top), all edges are free of wear, open edge is free of wear. Colors are bright and sharp. The upper left corner has a very faint crease, only visible on the front side, which is the only discernible flaw with the cover.

 

NOTES:  Here it its! The White Whale meets the Led Zeppelin… SUPER rare Purple/Tan 1969 Atlantic US pressing. Theories abound as to whether this was a record club issue or some Frankenstein child of the pressing plant. Regardless, this is a rare effing record.
