Description

Original UK first pressing in good condition. The first pressing has turquoise lettering on the cover, Superhype credits on the labels and no corrections to the matrix numbers.

As this is a rare record I have taken it to a friend's house and played it because I don't have a working record player at the moment. We listened to it three times all the way through. It plays through fine without jumping or getting stuck. There are some fairly obvious marks on the surface of the vinyl and these do cause some clicks in places, although probably not as much as you would think to look at them. Generally, the record is crackly in the quiet bits but sounds fine in the loud bits. Communication Breakdown sounded brilliant and it was easy to forget that the record is over 40 years old.

Based on these three play-throughs I think that the vinyl should be graded as 'Good' condition. Many parts of it are better than this but this grading should cover the worst bits.  Generally I think the record sounds a bit better than it looks.
The labels I would grade as Side one - Very Good, and Side two - Fair on account of two stickers on it.
The cover is creased but looks pretty decent at first appearance, although when you look closely you can see that it has got sellotape protecting the edges, so I think a grade of Good for the cover is about right.

So - not perfect, but it's OK.  It plays through fine (no jumps or skips) and generally looks decent enough, but please don't expect a museum piece. This is a second-hand record which is in GOOD condition.

My LPs are graded using the UK Record Collector grading system.  Returns will not be accepted where the buyer has misunderstood the grading system used, so please make sure you are familiar with the UK Record Collector grading system before you place a bid:
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
