Led Zeppelin 'Houses Of The Holy' 1973 UK original vinyl album on the Atlantic label, catalogue number K 50014 (stereo)
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side 1: K 50014 A2 B 1 2 STERLING RL Side 2: K 50014 B2 B 3 STERLING RL
This is a heavy vinyl and it is not warped. Both sides of the record have some light surface scratches and some small marks, almost certainly caused by bag movement and contact, but I cannot feel any of them and overall this record is in very nice condition with a pleasing appearance. The vinyl plays really well, producing brilliant clear audio all the way through with very little lessening of the original sound quality - just a little underlying surface sound where it can be heard and a few random soft ticks here and there, not perfect but highly enjoyable. There are no sticks, no skips, no jumps.
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have some light spindle lines, no writing, no damage.
The cover is a gatefold type, it does not have any coating or laminate. On the front there are a few faint smudges in the orange sky and the slightest of vague rub wear, but otherwise it appears unblemished, the condition of the back is almost identical. The centre piece is little different to the way it would have been when new. There is some light rubbing to the corners and minor scuffing on the tips of the edges.
The spine is in almost new condition, the only thing to mention is that it has lightened a little, probably due to exposure to light over time when stored upright on a shelf. There never was any title, group name or catalogue number on the spine of the UK originals.
The inner sleeve is the original printed with the album name, lyrics and credits (MacNeill Press). It is made from a thick finely woven paper and there are some small brown stains at the edges, but no seam splits, no tears, no damage.
I have checked the Record Collector grading system, I would say that the gatefold cover is 'excellent', the record is 'very good+' and the audio is 'very good+' to 'excellent'.
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a strong record mailing box with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
