Description

Very nice copy of Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy LP on original 1973 first pressing Atlantic SD-7255. "Sterling RL" etched in the runoff on both sides, indicating the Robert Ludwig mastering, said by many to sound markedly better than the other pressings. I generally agree, though the difference is not nearly as dramatic as on Led Zeppelin II. The Ludwig master of this album is brighter and more "sparkly", you might say, with lots of clear definition of all the intricate parts. Really lovely sounding.  And this copy sounds fantastic. There are a few light superficial scuffs here and there but it plays very nearly mint. I have listened to the whole thing and didn't hear the slightest tick or crackle. Just a beautiful listen. This is a great sounding copy, truly. The cover in good condition, with some general shelfwear, minor surface scuffs and ringwear, a "W" written on the back, and a dinged corner at the back lower left. Still overall pretty nice. Also comes with the original highly textured lyric inner, in great shape.  This is truly a fantastic early copy that really sounds wonderful.
