Beautiful copy of Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy LP on Atlantic SD-7255. Rarer super-glossy cover with the song list hype sticker. "Sterling RL" etched in the runoff on side one, indicating the Robert Ludwig mastering, said by many to sound markedly better than the other pressings. I generally agree, though the difference is not nearly as dramatic as on Led Zeppelin II. The Ludwig master of this album is brighter and more "sparkly", you might say, with lots of clear definition of all the intricate parts. Really lovely sounding. And this copy sounds fantastic. There are maybe a couple of extremely light superficial scuffs here and there but it plays very nearly mint. There are a couple of moments--maybe--of very very faint crackle but they are really minor and don't at all intrude on the wonderful listen. This is a great sounding copy, truly. The cover also is in great condition, with way less wear than most original copies have. Only some light general shelfwear, with a slightly creased corner at the lower right, and some very genteel corner rubbing on the other corners, and minor surface scuffs but overall just beautiful. Also comes with the original textured lyric inner. This is truly a fantastic early copy that really sounds wonderful.
