Description
LED ZEPPELIN I 1969 1ST PRESS VARIANT GREY STRIPE A1/B1 SUPERHYPE FAB!! VG+ VG.
This one is the totally superb Led Zeppelin 1 released on Atlantic Records in 1969. It’s not the absolute 1st pressing but it is a variant of it.
It has the orange lettering and the grey stripe across the bottom of the front cover. The run-off stampers are A1 B1 and it has the Superhype Jewel Music credits on both sides.
On the back cover it has the Uptight an’ Outasight and Under Licence from Atlantic Records references.
In terms of audio quality there is one clear ‘pop’ in Black Mountain Side and also one in I can’t quit you baby. Occasionally there is a tiny bit of crackle but nothing that you wouldn’t expect from a record that is 53 years old. I’m listening to it as I type and it sounds terrific. I would grade the vinyl as VG+
The cover has some creasing, with the most obvious ones in the front that you can see in the final photo. I would grade the cover as VG.
Please read my detailed general notes below.
I’ve recently bought two part collections and so will be auctioning some 100 albums of real quality from now until December or so. I’ll also be listing around 50 outstanding singles. Please add me to your list of Saved Sellers.
Because of the number of albums I won’t be able to listen to them all in their entirety but will do my best to grade accurately.
I clean all records that I auction with ‘Vinyl Clear ’ very carefully but they may benefit from a clean with a professional machine.
I use Record Collector gradings. Please ensure that you understand them before you bid.
I have long-standing very strong feedback so hopefully can be seen as a trustworthy seller. I pack carefully and dispatch the morning after the end of the auction.
I’m not seeking to make a killing on postage, so am happy to combine postage. I am happy to dispatch to Europe and Asia but would wish to use Recorded Delivery.
Please contact me if you have any queries.
Happy bidding!
