Vinyl: Very Good: a clean copy – Side-1 has about x6 notable scratches + numerous faint surface marks. Side-2 has x3 notable scratches + numerous faint surface marks.
I’ve placed this LP through in its entirety on my ‘AR’ turntable (tracking at 1.5gms) and it plays without jumping, sticking or skipping. There is a bit of low-level surface noise, but this is, in the main, only noticeable in quieter sections (there aren’t too many of these), between tracks and on the run-in/run-out. The worst offending part is the start of ‘Babe I’m Gonna Leave You’ when there is a noticeable crackle in the opening few seconds, also for a few seconds on the organ intro to ‘Your Time is Gonna Come’. Apart from that this LP still sounds bright and dynamic, not bad after 45-years! I’d forgotten how good this album sounds on vinyl especially the acoustic guitar and tabla-drum on ‘Black Mountain Side’ and the drums on ‘Can’t Quit You Babe’. Sleeve: Very Good: minor bump/crease to bottom left-hand corner – one or two creases in laminate on reverse – spine is legible but has slight cracking.
My records are visually graded using the ‘Record Collector’ guide.
I do not play them unless stated in the item description.
I’m happy to combine postage for multiple purchases.
I remove all my LPs, 12” & 7” singles from outer and printed inner sleeves and place in plain white sleeves before packing to avoid damage to covers during transit.
This vinyl will be dispatched in a PVC sleeve and shipped in an over-sized, card mailer with stiffeners.
