Led Zeppelin II A2 / B5 Red/Plum Label
This early red/plum pressing plays to a superb standard overall with only minimal interference. As this is one of the pressings it has 'The Lemon Song' credit on S1 not 'Killing Floor'. Every track has been played in full.

Play grading
This is one of the strongest red/plum versions of this album that I have heard in a long time. I have played every track in full and that clarity is so impressive, there is barely any intrusion on the audio. The first two tracks have only a minimal amount of intermittent light static and the last two are just as good with only one click on each. 'Thank You' has one of the quietest end sections I have ever heard and pays testament to how well this record has been preserved. I have graded each track on S1 as Ex+ but the majority is Near Mint for sure.
S2 is also very strong with only a small number of clicks at the start and a couple right at the end of the 'Ramble On' fade out. 'Moby Dick' has a small number of light ticks during the drum solo but they are quiet and non-intrusive in my opinion. Otherwise this side plays to a superb standard.
Visual grading
The vinyl is in excellent condition and has not been over-played judging by the clarity of the audio and the minimal spindle wear. It has a lovely glossy sheen and there are no scratches. There are only a small number of light hairlines with just one that is slightly more obvious on S1.
The Cover
The early light brown gatefold is in lovely condition with minimal wear. The edges and corners have only only light rubbing and the wide spine is in fantastic shape with only a little wear at the top and bottom. The opening edge is near perfect with only a couple of minor 'dings'. The front cover is so clean which is such rarity and the back is almost as good with only the lightest of fading here and there and a small crease lower left, the inside is immaculate. The back and front cover are slightly out alignment but only by a very small amount. A fine example overall.
The Inner Sleeve
The original poly-lined 'Plastic Bags...' inner is in great condition, there are no side splits or marking. One side just has the record store 'stamp' from where is was originally purchased from!
The Labels
They red/plum labels are near perfect with no marking or writing and only a little spindle wear.

This record has been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
