Cover -  Original thick spine/label: pretty solid condition - a bit of edge and corner wear; the upper left (spine) corner has a bit of damage; exterior and interior graphics all solid (see pics) Grades out at a solid VG+ and sliding towards VG++
Original interior Atlantic LP sleeve :  not bad - middle splits on all three edges
Vinyl : 

A bit more difficult to evaluate - thick vinyl with solid gloss and luster; many surfaces scuffs and spider scratches; one extended surface skid mark on Side 2 that runs across Tracks 2 and 3 and runs into the beginning of Track 4. 

As a result of the general surface condition, we have given the entire LP a complete audio evaluation. As should be expected, the dynamic range of this mastering makes the vast majority of the surfaces marks all but inaudible. There is some occasional mild surface noise during some of the quiet passages, but not enough to detract from the over-all listening experience. We were surprised to discover (given the way it looks) that the skid mark on Side 2 is all but non-existent during the playback. There are some very small and strange-looking ridge marks (we can’t figure out how they were made) of roughly 1/4" in length at the tail end of 'Thank You' on Side 1 that are definitely present during the slow quiet fade - these become a little annoying before the final crescendo ends the track.

All in all, this is a much better sounding LP than it looks; we would evaluate the vinyl surface visually somewhere between VG- and VG but the audio reproduction grades at a very solid VG+. (as stated below, we use STRICT Goldmine Magazine standards for our evaluations - see their web site for specifics)
We recommend this LP to anyone who wants to experience the Robert Ludwig mastering without paying the $200-$300 the current market demands for a Near Mint copy. The turntable on our main listening system has a VERY high-end stylus (Lyra Helikon) and we did not hesitate to play the LP on this deck. We were very pleased with the resulting listening experience.
