LED ZEPPELIN - LED ZEPPELIN II - LP GATEFOLD - ATLANTIC #SD-8236 - STEREO - 1969
Original American stereo LP release on Atlantic with green and orange labels. Their classic second album from 1969. This is the ultra-rare very first US pressing, featuring Bob Ludwig's "hot mix" mastering on both sides. These were withdrawn early because the high bass levels caused low-grade cartridges to mis-track, leading people to return the album on the belief that it was defective. Another engineer was then hired to re-cut a much less "hot" version of the album, and that is the far more common version. Both RL and SS are etched in the deadwax of both sides making this a legitimate first pressing. Comes in original textured gatefold jacket.
The cover is in good condition but has spots
The Record is in very good condition with hairline scratches but nothing is directly audible
