MEGARARE original ATLANTIC Records MONO early second press released in Chile in 1970, made and distributed by Discos Philips (Philips Records), catalog number 2330 008, with matrix numbers 2330.008 A EB-CD in Side 1 and 2330.008 B EB-CD in Side 2, with unusual orange/black Atlantic Records labels . Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!!

“LED ZEPPELIN II” was originally released in 1969 but we didn’t have to wait much to see this great album released here, it was in 1970!!! If you know something about early presses of Led Zeppelin in Chile you should know the first and second LP were released only with Mono sound and the error of the very first LP (“Led Seppelin” in labels) is a TOP RARITY!!! Well, the very first press of this second LP had an unusual flipback “Stereo” cover, but the labels say MONO and the sound is MONO!!! In this case, it’s the RARE second press with unusual orange/black Atlantic Records, with a different cover, with the “Stereo” error corrected and a fake round sticker announcing “GOLD RECORD AWARD Audited And Certified By RIAA” in front cover. In the very first press the cover was a flip cover with the same artwork for front and back cover. In this second press the cover has the same style of most of the records of the period, made for an only piece of cardboard folded in the middle, so 3 sides are opened and kept together for a plastic bag. An interesting fact about this particular cover is the cardboard is different, it’s very fragile, it breaks easily and so, as you can see in the pictures, some little parts are missed. Front cover keeps the same artwork but back cover is totally different with tracklist in Spanish, translated to English, with credits and timing for each song, and a short review about the band in Spanish.

Yes, yes, yes… Here it’s a REAL FIND again, another rare pressing of a famous album released in Chile, with an UNIQUE COVER!!!

The flipcover is in VG- condition, clean but with missing parts, some rips, but no ring marks, even though in back cover it has a severe age browning and in front cover is a blemish which you can see in the pictures. The record is in VG or VG+ condition, glossy and clean but with loads of scuffs and hairlines, which don’t affect the sound. Labels are in great NM or NM+ condition. The sound, however, is a nice surprise, it’s in VG or VG+ condition, loud, clear and clean, but with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile) and only some light crackles here and there, more evident in quieter parts and between tracks. Overall a great record with a not so good look but with a sound quality still nice and respectable after 42 years, with no skips, no sticks or distorsions. Sure this copy isn’t for Minty minds, not the best look and not the best sound quality, but this is a very RARE PRESS of this record with an UNIQUE COVER, MONO SOUND, UNUSUAL ORANGE ATLANTIC RECORDS LABELS and very rare kind of cardboard for the cover!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for.
