LED ZEPPELIN III on 200g Quiex Vinyl in heavyweight die cut sleeve with spinning wheel.
ALL Led Zeppelin albums are officially now OUT OF PRINT on Classic Records 200g vinyl.
On their first two albums, Led Zeppelin issued a relentless assault of heavy blues and rockabilly riffs, and Led Zeppelin III provided the band with the necessary room to grow musically.
While there are still a handful of metallic rockers, III is built on a folky, acoustic foundation which gives the music extra depth. And even the rockers aren't as straightforward as before - the galloping "Immigrant Song" is powered by Plant's banshee wail, "Celebration Day" turns blues-rock inside out with a warped slide guitar riff, and "Out on the Tiles" lumbers along with a tricky, multi-part riff. Nevertheless, the heart of the album lies on the second side, when the band delves deeply into English folk. "Gallows Pole" updates a traditional tune with a menacing flair, and "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" is an infectious acoustic romp, while "That's the Way" and "Tangerine" are shimmering songs with graceful country flourishes.
And for fans of their first two recordings, there's "Since I've Been Loving You," a low, slow Chicago blues showcasing the good groove of Jones and Bonham, and Page's masterful lead work.
Quiex SV-P - High quality analogue mastering from the original master tapes
This is a 200 gram high-quality and super quiet LP pressing from Classic Records as part of their 'Quiex-SVP' series. In contrast to many CD and LP releases that are mastered from fifth or sixth generation copies, Classic used the original master tapes and cut the album using their all analog and tube amplified mastering process; allowing every conceivable detail and nuance from the original recording to be translated to this pressing.
