THIS IS ONE OF LED ZEPPELIN's RAREST LP's EVER AND IS A TRUE 1ST PRESS; THERE IS A LOW START PRICE WITH NO RESERVE ON THIS ALBUM.

VINYL (VISUAL)

Thickly pressed quality vinyl, you only find with the early 1ST PRESS red/plum labels.

There are a lot of light surface marks and wispy lines on both sides, but thankfully none of these have a bad impact on the audio.

  VERY GOOD

VINYL (FULLY PLAY GRADED)

It sits flat on the turntable, no warping.

It sounds really good considering the marks on the vinyl. Very vibrant with only the slightest of static in the quiet moments. The audio is ok and you can listen all the way through with no jumps or skips, just static and the odd tick, read below.

Side One; From start to finish sounds great with Only static in quieter moments/run offs, there are NO jumps or skips or anything to stop your enjoyment.

Side Two; Again the same great sound with static heard in the quieter moments/run offs, there is the odd tick at the beginning of Tangerine but only a couple.

The marks do not affect play, it is a great listen. As with most vinyl there is some static, and the odd tick

I have fully play graded this record using headphones and have been as honest as possible. This is a very good listen and deserves to be graded at;

SLEEVE

First issue fully laminated E J. Day Gatefold sleeve is in a great condition, (plenty of photos so you can see it at all angles) I don’t think many survive without the wheel coming out or the laminate lifting but this one is ok, the wheel works perfectly and the laminate is fine.

It lays flat no curving as with most you find, and only a slight amount of colour fade / yellowing.

The sleeve has only a couple of marks which I have taken pictures for you to see, they are not that bad and absolutely NO graffiti/stickers/unwanted writing whatsoever.

The spine is excellent.

INNER POLY LINED SLEEVE

It comes with the original (Plastic Bags, Made in England) patent 800513/973939,  which is in excellent condition, no creases or splits, and a new poly lined inner which the vinyl is kept, this is new so is in excellent condition.

LABELS

Labels are the sensational red / plum ATLANTIC with the ATLANTIC logos to the left of the central holes on both sides of the labels to confirm that this is the very first issue of this magnificent rarity. Has the original first pressing "produced by Jimmy Page executive producer Peter Grant" label texts, and the cat no in one 2401002 later pressings do not have this, Both labels have  light spindle lines. NO graffiti, NO rips NO tears or stickers.

RECAP;

Overall this is a very nice example one to start you off, considering a copy of this record recently sold on Ebay for £2000 albeit it was probably in mint condition, this is not Mint and does have its faults as described but this will be great value. The cover on this copy is really good and you will find it hard to get a better one, it only has a couple of small blemishes which you can see in the photos, its not spoilt or torn, the wheel works perfect and only has slight yellowing around the edges, the vinyl looks worse than it plays, a good enjoyable listen, and comes with the original poly lined sleeve, this is kept separate with the vinyl housed in a new poly lined sleeve,  so if you want an affordable copy that looks ok and plays ok this is for you but if you want an unblemished copy (you’ll probably need a loan) this is not for you, thanks for looking.

MINT:
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks
or deterioration in sound quality.
The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.
Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be mint.

EXCELLENT:
The record shows some signs of having been played,
but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:
The record has obviously been played many times,
but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,
despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,
without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:
The record has been played so much
that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated,
perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
The cover and contents suffer from folding,
