This is a rare UK early orange Atlantic press of Led Zeppelin III. Released in 1970, this LP was originally released on the plum Atlantic label with the 2401002 catalogue number. Later when the Kinney system was introduced a few were printed with the original catalogue number and the new system K number. The sleeve has the replacement Kinney sticker on the rear of the sleeve and a RARE ROUND REPLACEMENT TRACK LISTING STICKER inside. Most importantly they are still on the original heavy weight vinyl, not the flimsy reissue quality and as such the excellent sound quality is exceptional to this colour label and press.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has only been lightly played and has the original deep black gloss. Every track still gleams. There are a couple of the very lightest wispy marks but these are insignificant as the vinyl is superb. The Atlantic labels are completely clean. The colours are bright and the text is unworn and sharp. There is NO spindle wear.
When played the vinyl has a bold, deep, rich original sound. It is still vibrant and clear throughout.
The UK Atlantic Deluxe gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition. The die-cut circles have no wear at all, they are immaculate. The colours are vivid, the white is bright, with just slight discolouration and some very light hardly noticeable marks. There is the slightest corner wear. The spinning wheel is perfect. The rare round tracklisting sticker is superb, unworn. The spine is still firm and the rear sticker is also sealed.
