Description
LED ZEPPELIN lll
1970 UK PLUM/RED ATLANTIC 2401-002
A5 - B5
First pressing with ''do what thou wilt'’ and ‘'so mote it be'’ etched in the run-offs.
This is superb original earliest A5-B5 UK first issue in immaculate ultra-clean playing condition. The thick chunky vinyl is in amazing clean condition, both sides have a brilliant original deep glossy sheen, there are no visible surface marks at all and all tracks play and sound top excellent throughout. The fully laminated E.J.Day gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition with only some minor discolouration and wear. The labels are the earliest possible with a different text layout to later Plum/Red issues. This brilliant original UK Led Zeppelin album looks MINT- and has obviously been barely played at all. It really would be very difficult to find another original UK A5-B5 first pressing that looks, plays and sounds as good as this one on offer here. It's a real keeper that will not need upgrading and will definitely not disappoint in any way.
This album has recently been professionally cleaned on a Moth MK.11 vacuum record cleaning machine. The vinyl comes in a brand new poly-lined inner sleeve with sticker attached with cleaning service details, the original Polydor poly-lined inner will also be included and shipped to the winning bidder.
A5-B5 FIRST PRESS VINYL = NM (LOOKS AS GOOD AS NEW)
Both sides of the vinyl are in stunning ultra-clean near mint condition and look as good as new, there are no surface marks, scuffs or scratches at all. Both sides look/play and sound absolutely superb from beginning to end. There are no loud clicks or pops and no annoying loud crackle. This album has only ever had just a few very careful plays on a decent turntable since new. There is no lessoning in the sound quality at all and every track plays through with a brilliant crisp and clear sound that is free of distortion and groove wear or any other audible faults. This is just an stunning ultra-clean very earliest A5-B5 UK first pressing that has been barely played at all and will definitely not disappoint in any way. GUARANTEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EARLIEST PLUM/RED ATLANTIC LABELS = NM
Both plum/red Atlantic labels look as new with no defects at all. These labels are the earliest possible which means that this issue is one of the very first original pressings from 1970, almost all plum/red issues of Led Zep lll were actually pressed in 1971, these slightly later pressings had a few label differences to that of the earliest original 1970 pressing. The main difference is that on the very early original 1970 issue, the 'Jimmy Page' and 'Peter Grant' credits are on the top half of the labels, only the very earliest pressings have both credits on top, they were quite quickly moved to the bottom half just underneath the track-listings, the other main noticeable difference is that later labels had a dash mark placed between the album code on the labels whereas the original 1970 issues did not have a dash. The 1970 original 1st pressing = 2401002, later issues = 2401(-)002. These earliest labels look perfect and simply cannot be faulted at all.
FULLY LAMINATED E.J. DAY GATEFOLD SLEEVE = EX
The fully laminated gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition. This is the far more desirable earliest ever thickly laminated UK E.J.Day cover with the album track-listing correctly printed on the inside right panel, some slightly later covers had the track-listing printed on the inside left, some later uk plum/red issues also came in slightly thinner gatefold covers that were actually made and printed in Germany. This earliest E.J.Day cover is in excellent condition with no bad faults at all. There is some slight age yellowing and discolouration that almost all Led Zep lll covers have, there is also some light wear to the laminate so it is not as glossy and reflective as it was when new. This cover also has a few lamination lines on the back, these are not creases but slight shifts in the lamination. The top and bottom edges and the spine are excellent with barely even a trace of wear, all spine text is bold and clear and easy to read. The inside rotating front cover wheel is still firmly fixed and turns easily. This earliest fully laminated E.J.Day gatefold cover still looks superb with no bad or unsightly faults at all and so grades excellent.

I pack my records very well, the album will be removed from the outer cover to avoid seem/edge splits in transit, plenty of rigid cardboard support will be used to avoid corners bending, this album will reach you in the same condition as advertised.
