🎸 TRUE UK 1ST PRESS – A5/B5 + CROWLEY
Genuine 1970 UK Atlantic 2401002 first pressing with A5 / B5 matrices and the famous Crowley inscriptions: “Do what thou wilt” / “So mote it be” in the dead wax on each side – the spec serious collectors insist on.
💥 CORRECT “CELEBRATION DAY” – NOT THE LATER MISPRINT
Labels show the properly spelled “Celebration Day” track title. Copies with the “Celebration” misprint are a slightly later run – this is the earlier correct label with all details present and correct.
📀 PETER GRANT CREDITED – COMPLETE LABEL TEXT
Red/plum Atlantic labels with “Produced by Jimmy Page” and “Executive Producer: Peter Grant” plus Polydor Records Limited rim text. This is the highly sought-after Peter Grant / Crowley / correct Celebration Day combination – many so-called “first presses” online miss one of those key elements.
🔥 VINYL AUDIO & VISUALS
Vinyl retains a deep gloss, just a few light paper scuffs under strong light. Labels are very sharp and clean.
Overall the audio is really good, but there are a few pops in one track [see the mark in the photo]. Some minor occasional surface noise but it is not too much. The slight blemishes in the audio are compensated by the big, powerful and detailed sound of a first press Red/Plum copy. I've listened to it a number of times and I can easily forgive 'its little faults'
🌟 BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL GATEFOLD
Front panel still has lovely sheen, colours bright and unfaded. All die-cut holes are intact but the wheel is detached. The front cover seams have slight split [can be repaired along with the wheel]. The spine text is in very good condition and fully readable, only very minor edge/corner wear. see front cover photo's. Inside gatefold artwork is crisp and clean – no writing, stamps or tears. Back cover is also very good - some minor ripple in the lamination at the bottom.

Inner gatefold carries the original 1970 credit block with “Produced by Jimmy Page / Executive Producer: Peter Grant” and full publishing details – exactly what collectors expect from an authentic first UK issue.
