LED ZEPPELIN III FIRST UK PRESS A6 / B5 PETER GRANT LABEL CREDIT "DO WHAT THOU WILT" "SO MOTE IT BE" ATLANTIC DELUXE 2401002 14th October 1970
ONLY THE VERY FIRST PRESSING OF LED ZEPPELIN'S 3RD ALBUM HAD THE "Executive Producer: Peter Grant" CREDIT ON THE LABEL WHICH DIDN'T SIT WELL WITH Jimmy Paige AND WAS REMOVED. THE LABEL FROM THEN ON HAD "Produced by Jimmy Paige" ON THE PLUM BOTTOM PART OF THE ATLANTIC LABELS. ALSO THE EARLY PRESSING HAD THE CORRECT FULL SONG TITLE "Celebration Day." WHEN THE LABELS WERE RE-DESIGNED IN A HURRY, THE CREDIT ON THEM READ "Celebration"

ALL EARLY PRESSINGS OF THE ALBUM HAD THE MESSAGES " Do what thou wilt " AND " so mote it be " SCRATCHED INTO THE RUN OFF GROOVES BY Terry Manning AT THE REQUEST OF Jimmy Paige. MANING WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ALBUM TO MASTERING STAGE (and he wrote the now famous Crowley inscriptions into the run off grove by hand)
THE SLEEVE / PRESSED BY E .J. DAY (the original manufacturer of the true UK pressed sleeves) FREE FROM WRITING, RIPS OR TEARS. HAS A STRONG READABLE SPINE (SEE PICS). HAS VERY LIGHT CORNER WEAR. NO LAMINATION LIFT, BUT HORIZONTAL LAMINATE CREASES ON BAC KOVER. THE UNIQUE ROTATING WHEEL STILL MOVES WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS OR STICKING, ALL 11 DIE CUT HOLES ARE FREE FROM WEAR AND OVERALL IN lovely CONDITION FOR A 42 YEAR OLD SLEEVE! CONDITION: EX
THE VINYL / A GLOSSY DISC WHICH IN DAYLIGHT RETAINS ITS JUST-PRESSED LOOK. IN STRONGER LIGHT, A FEW LIGHT SURFACE RUBS ON SIDE 1. SIDE 2 HAS A COUPLE OF LIGHT SURFACE SCRATCHES. IN TERMS OF AUDIO SIDE 1 PLAYS PERFECTLY WITH VERY LITTLE DISCERNIBLE CRACKLE OF ANY KIND ON MY SYSTEM. SIDE 2 TRACK TWO HASA CLICK FOR APPROX 4 REVOLUTIONS. NO SKIPS, JUMPS OR DISTORTION. VG++/EX-
THE ALBUM COMES HOUSED IN ITS ORIGINAL POLY LINED SLEEVE WHICH IS FREE FROM WRITING DAMAGE, TEARS OR SPLITS. HAS CREASING CONDITION: VG++/EX-

RARE RECORD PRICE GUIDE GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
