Description
Led Zeppelin : In Through The Out Door A1/B7
This vinyl plays with superb clarity and depth and very little interference. The cover and 'brown bag' are also in fantastic condition and the most impressive I have seen in a long time.

Visual grading
The vinyl is in superb condition and retains a stunning glossy sheen. I can only detect a small number of faint sleeve removal hairlines and there are no scratches or marks. There is no spindle wear at all so I suspect the record has hardly ever seen a turntable. The labels are perfect and the run out grooves are also supremely clean. A fine example.
Play grading
The quiet intro on 'In The Evening' plays very well for the majority. There is one click at the beginning and a little static here and there but as soon as the vocal comes in the playback is faultless. There is no interference and the depth and power of the audio is so strong. All I heard was a small number of mega light dust ticks but aside from the intro and minimal static on the fade out this is a superb version.
'South Bound Saurez' has barely any static on the intro and then plays to a wonderful standard. Again there is the odd light dust tick but they are very quiet and so much in the background as to be non-intrusive. 99% of sellers do not even mention them, they just state if there are any clicks or pops and as quite often not even that as how many records are play tested?! There are no clicks or pops here and this easily grades as Near Mint it is that good.
'Fool In The Rain' plays with stunning clarity from the very first note and continues in the same way. With hardly any dust ticks the audio here is 'high end' and there is no interference of any kind. Again the depth and clarity is as good as when it was first released back in '79 and from start to finish the audio could not be any better, a sublime version.
'Hot Dog' ends the side impressively with no clicks or pops and very little inner groove distortion. A real foot stomper (!) you cannot fault the audio and even the guitar solo plays nigh on perfectly. There is only minimal static on the fade out.

'Carouselambra' has a couple of static ticks on the intro and then plays stunning quality. Rarely have I heard such power and clarity on this track and Bonham's work is particularly 'high' in the mix here. The depth and strong bass is very obvious as soon as the tempo decreases. The sound here is awesome! There is a little background static in this 'quieter' section but in no way is it intrusive. The final section does not disappoint and whilst this may not be classic Led Zeppelin rock it nonetheless plays exceptionally well with only light static on the fade out.
'All My Love' has a little static on the intro but the music still comes through strongly. As the vocal begins there is no 'background' and the playback is stunning. There is nothing to detract from the audio here not even during the quieter moments. The synth instrumental mid way through is 'as new' and that applies to the vast majority in my opinion. The sonic quality here is also very impressive and to the end it plays fantastically well with barely any static on the long fade out.
'I'm Gonna Crawl' has some static ticks on the intro but this is soon replaced by very light static only. As the vocal begins the audio is superb and has no interference. Thereafter it plays to a fantastic standard and Page's long solo is so powerful and 'clean' and has hardly any of the inner groove distortion that is so often prevalent. The remainder plays faultlessly and aside from the intro this grades as Near Mint without doubt. The quiet fade out has hardly any static, an impressive end.
In summary the vast majority of this 'final' album plays to a wonderful standard and only a couple of intros have a little interference. The definition of the audio is very strong with no lessening in quality and this is clearly a record that has hardly ever been played. The 'B' cover is in lovely condition and the outer brown bag is one of the cleanest I have seen in a long time.
The Cover & Outer 'Bag'
The 'B' cover is in superb condition and has no obvious shelf wear at all. The edges have no rubbing/marking and the spine remains 100% legible with only a couple of inconsequential creases. There is hardly any corner wear and the opening edge is also supremely clean with no handling wear either. The front and back cover have no marking and are 'as new'.
The paper 'bag' outer is in lovely condition with none of the marking that you so often see. The two top corners have a small split and the opening edges have light creasing only. This is certainly one of the 'cleanest' sleeves you will find.
Inner Sleeve
The thick card inner has no splits or tears and no obvious marking either. A superb example. It does have some minor 'spotting' around the edges but that is common and not at all unsightly. It remains very strong and has no creasing.
The Labels
The 'Swan Song' labels are super clean with no marking/writing and there is no spindle wear either. They are 'as new'.
