Description
The very first copies of Led Zep IV had no mention of Superhype in the publishing credit and showed Peter Grant as Executive Producer. The labels were redesigned and reprinted but, in the meantime, Atlantic hastily produced some stickers to make the relevant corrections to the original labels. These stickered first pressings are highly sought after.
However, this is one of the absolute rarest examples because it also has the inverted feather symbol on side two. These are the hardest-to-find of all the label variations for Led Zeppelin IV.
This has the following matrix numbers:
2401012 A//3 and 2401012 B//4 and the run-outs are etched with PECKO DUCK and PORKY.
Detailed description
Vinyl: Play-grade: a SAFE Excellent (Ex+), or better. The vinyl is perfectly flat and has retained its original high sheen. Under close inspection, I could see some hairlines/sleeve-removal lines and small marks, but there is nothing significant anywhere. I have played the entire record and it sounds superb with very little to report. This would be an enviable audio performance for any red/plum copy of Led Zep IV, but as it is one of the absolute rarest variations I think this example would be hard to beat.
The original cover has no splits, tears, stickers, writing etc, just some storage wear to the edges and the corners, but there's nothing bad. T

Rare stickers with "Led Zeppelin" & "Kinney Music Ltd. / Superhype Music Inc. - Produced by Jimmy Page" attached on the labels, and the famous inverted feather in the logo on side 2 label.
