Description
LED ZEPPELIN - 'IV'
I'm shifting out a few spares, dupes, and other odds and sods from my overwhelming collection.
This is Led Zep IV, Not in brilliant nick, let's be fair - some minorly clicky passages from 'Battle of Evermore' and into 'Stairway' on side A, not super-intrusive but imperfect, please see the track-by-track breakdown below; also has visible marks, some minor loss of top end due to wear; sleeve has a surface rip to top rear where a sticker has been removed in the past; also a small piece of sellotape to left (opening) side of the gatefold; original inner has tears to the top and is mostly split at the bottom; BUT is the rare 'v3' with an inverted feather and Peter Grant's credit overstickered. So, a rough diamond?
I've tried to detail every single flaw. It's been play-tested and cleaned.
How it plays -
Side 1: 'Black Dog' VG, a little early crackle on the run-in
'Rock and Roll' VG
'Battle of Evermore' VG, a little static crackle to intro, intermittently throughout; one medium pop and a staticky runout, picking up a moderate repeat scratch right at the end and into the intro to 'Stairway'
'Stairway to Heaven' VG ... medium crackle during opening arpeggio, drops out by vocal, some minor background static crackle elsewhere and a short passage of medium repeat popping around the line 'And the forests will echo with laughter', one click right at the end.
Side 2: much the better side.
'Misty Mountain Hop' VG
'Four Sticks' VG
'Going To California' VG, a little static crackle in the opening and closing bars
'When the Levee Breaks' VG
...so not unplayable nor unenjoyable by any means, but some imperfections to 'Stairway'. Personally I can live with them, it sounds like a 50-year-old record, and it's definitely lived.
I have many, many more slices of vinyl already up for sale and upcoming, across a wide range of genres: have a peek!
Despatched Royal Mail 2nd class in secure card mailer. I'm happy to combine postage on up to 5 12"s/LPs.
