This is the UK Original press of Led Zepellin III. This press is complete with the earliest A5/B5 matrix and hand etched text Do What Thou Wilt / So Mote It Be and has the 'Under Licence' text above the white strip. It is complete with the original polylined warning inner sleeve and Atlantic Deluxe rotating wheel gatefold sleeve.
The record is in Very Good condition. The wonderful original heavy vinyl has a stunning high gloss, with a few hairlines and a couple of marks on each side. The red and plum Atlantic labels are completely clean with bold colours and bright white. The black text is sharp and there is only the very slightest spindle wear. On playing there is a little noise at the intro and a couple of clicks on the marks otherwise the sound is rich, bold, vibrant and clear. The record comes complete with its original polylined warning inner sleeve.
The Deluxe gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition. The original owner had stored it in a plastic sleeve for as long as he could remember and it has remained incredibly solid and clean. The die-cut circles have no wear at all they are immaculate. The spinning wheel is perfect. The colours are bold and the white is bright. There is a light crease in the corner. The spine is still very firm with a heavy black background and crisp white text. Inside it looks sensational, there is just the slightest edge discolouration but this does nothing to spoil its appearance.
