UK FIRST PRESSING MATRIX NUMBERS ON SECOND GENERATION LABEL DESIGN VINYL LP IN UN-LAMINATED USA PRINTED GATEFOLD SLEEVE WITH WORKING WHEEL AND ORIGINAL POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE. We do not know why this is housed in a USA sleeve.
This disc has first pressing matrix numbers A5/B5 but is pressed on the second generation Red/Maroon label design with 2401-002 at 2 O'clock.
The credit at the bottom of the label states 'Produced by Jimmy Page' in bold, centred underneath is "Warner Bros. Music", this is a re-positioning from the top half of the label to the bottom half.
Un-laminated USA gatefold sleeve with working wheel, retaining Executive Producer: Peter Grant (which has been removed from the labels on this pressing).
MATRIX NUMBERS IN RUN-OFF GROOVES: SIDE A: 123 Do what thou wilt 2401002 A-5 GHC / SIDE B: 124 So mote it be 2401002 B-5 GHC
SLEEVE: VERY GOOD WITH SOME SHELF AND EDGE WEAR, SOME LIGHT SCUFFS, CORNER BUMPS, CREASES. THERE IS AN OLD HAMMERSMITH LONDON RECORD SHOP STICKER ON THE FRONT. INNER SLEEVE IS VERY GOOD.
DISC: VISUALLY A VERY GOOD COPY THAT PLAYS VERY GOOD+ TO EXCELLENT MINUS. SOME LIGHT SCUFFS AND HAIRLINES BUT NO ACTUAL SCRATCHES THAT CAN BE FELT. CLEARLY THIS DISC HAS BEEN PLAYED AND THERE IS SPINDLE WEAR. THE LABELS ARE CLEAN. BOTH SIDES PLAY VERY WELL, THERE ARE SOME SURFACE NOISES IN THE QUIETEST OF PASSAGES AND BETWEEN SOME TRACKS, BUT NO SKIPS OR JUMPS. A DECENT, PUNCHY FIRST MATRIX NUMBERS PRESSING THAT IS IN FAIRLY GOOD SHAPE BUT NOT PERFECT. DISC HAS BEEN PRICED ACCORDING TO LESSER CONDITION AND THE FACT THAT IT IS IN A USA SLEEVE.
