EARLIEST TO FIND! AWESOME AUDIO ON MY SYSTEMS 1ST UK PRESSING COMPLETE AND ORIGINAL!

Another from my personal collection! An original and totaly complete 1st UK pressing, both vinyls looks and sounds barely ever played at all! unbeleivable to find after 36 years! The audio is awesome throughout and has barely ever been played more than a handful of times ever! There is no loud clicks or pops, just very minor isolated static crackle\ticks in quiet places only audio graded at least excellent plus overall in my opinion!  Important features are the original box cover made in England which has only light storageware with age only. Complete with original thick card inner and thick card record sleeves all made in England! (Later issues are made in Germany) Look (no) Warner logos on the labels (only 1st UK press) Highly collectable and sought after like this! 

Physical Graffiti is the sixth album, a double album by the English hard rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released on February 24, 1975 and was the band's first release on its own Swan Song Records label!!.

The recording sessions for Physical Graffiti took place in January and February 1974 at Headley Grange in East Hampshire, England. Several of the songs on the album, however, were recorded during the sessions for previous Led Zeppelin albums!

 The instrumental "Bron-Yr-Aur" was recorded in July 1970 at Island Studios, London, for Led Zeppelin II. "Night Flight" and "Boogie with Stu" were recorded at Headley Grange and "Down by the Seaside" at Island Studios, all for Led Zeppelin IV. "The Rover" and "Black Country Woman" were recorded at the same sessions as "D'yer Mak'er" at Stargroves using the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio in May 1972. "Houses of the Holy" was also recorded in May 1972, but at Olympic Studios. The group's fifth album Houses of the Holy took its title from this song, despite the decision not to include the song on that album!!!.

The remaining eight songs were all recorded during the sessions for Physical Graffiti in early 1974. Additional overdubs were added and the final mixing was performed in October 1974 by Keith Harwood!!

THE ALBUM COVER!!!!

The original album jacket for the LP included die-cut windows on the building shown on the cover!. As the inner sleeves for the discs were inserted in different orientations, various objects and people would appear in the windows, including photos of the band members in drag. The two buildings photographed for the album cover are located at 96 and 98 St. Mark's Place in New York City These are the same buildings Mick JaggEr is in front of in the Rolling Stones music video "Waiting on a Friend".!!!!

The Vinyls

These are in absolutely superrbe condition throughout! LOOK AND SOUND VIRTUALLY UNPLAYED! Very rarely seen in this condition!! On initial inspection ,both vinyls lay perfectly flat on the turntable and are free of any warps. (thicker heavier type than later press which are much more flimsier) It is hard to see a blemish on the playing surfaces, any that may possibly be seen would be very light whyspy sleeve removal only (Importantly there is no deep needle scratches or audio sounding marks that I can see or hear) These retain their original sheen from new and indeed look almost as new in my opinion these look like they have barely ever been played at all, very hard to find like this indeed!!

The Audio Quality

 I have played both the vinyls through track for track prior to listing at very very loud volume on a top system! The moment the needle hits the playing surface it is obvious these vinyls have barely ever been played at all!!  The audio quality is as you would expect, superbe, TOP, TOP, TOP! cristal clear and extreemely vibrant through out ! (importantly I heard no loud clicks or pops throughout and no distortion or grooveware in fact these both look barely ever played more than a handful of times ever!   The vinyls have been stored seperately from the cover in a poly sleeve for all of its storage life! This is the way I always  have stores my records! The audio on this pressing in my opinion is almost as good as it gets for a very early and the 1st pressing!! Please allow for light static crackle only heard during some isolated quiet parts perhapes in between some tracks only  and not consistant throughout the audio. Please check my completed listings of records that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normally get it right!!!

To sum up,

 the audio is clear and very vibrant throughout no distortion grooveware no loud clicks or pops, any static crackle heard only in very few isolated quiet places only the seperation is awesome throughout and the vibrancy will be hard to surpass in my opinion only found like this on the earliest pressings, pressed from the original master, and the fact that these are the original thicker heavier type of vinyl material makes all the difference in my opinion. I would grade the overall audio at least excellent plus to near mint on my systems! 

It is easy to be critical about the audio quality on these mid seventies pressings. Please allow for the odd isolated light static crackle\ticks that may be heard only in some very quiet places during the play of these vinyls, The fact that these vinyls have barely ever been played produces the best audio quality experience possible in my opinion!

Please note! That i always make this disclaimer! That although I never heard any clicks or pops during the play of these records, please allow for the odd static here and there certainly not consistant throughout the audio, but this is a genuine 37 year old vinyl that would have been played on a 37 year old system!!!!! !

Points to note! This has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 35 years! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves from laying dormant causes static crackle\ticks! A constant clean before each play is recomended !!!! This would reduce any static and enhance the audio quality!!

The Labels

All four sides look almost like new in my opinion, (no) real signs of spidering if there are any spider traces you would certainly have to look hard to find them , Perhapes the odd one or two but it is obvious that these vinyls have barely ever been played more than a handful of times ever!

 PLEASE NOTE! (NO) WARNER LOGO AT THE END OF THE TEXT AROUND THE LABEL RIM ON ALL FOUR SIDES!! (VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE! THAT THIS IS A TRUE WAY TO NOTICE ONLY THE EARLIEST OF THESE PRESSINGS!! VERY SOON AFTER PRODUCTION THIS LOGO IS FEATURED ON ALL SIDES!!!

The Original Insert

This is the original white insert made from thick card smooth on the outside and textured on the inside (only found on 1st press) later press are much thinner card! This is as new!

The Picture Record Sleeves

These are the original thick card type record sleeves Printed in England one carries the cat no SSK 89400/A and the other SSK 89400/B (Later press are made of thin paper like material and are made in Germany) There are signs of a slight split beginning on one at the side and bottom edge only, Amaizingly there are no creases to mention. The vinyls are now stored seperately from these sleeves.

The Original Box Cover

This is the original 1st issue box type cover with the die cut windows importantly 'MADE IN ENGLAND'! Important features that deturmin earliest covers ,feature  ''SWAN SONG/484 KINGS ROAD, LONDON SW10.....'' (Later press covers are made in Germany and do not feature this Please see photo above)  (normaly seen in a terrible state) There is only minor  light general storageware with age only, in the form of light  ware at the top corners and only minor rubbing ware at the edges which are not really noticable unless scrutinised! Any slight creases you would also have to scrutinise anhgled to the light to notice in my opinion, in fact I can't see any! This is strong and straight as it should be! I would grade this conservatively at least excellent condition if not much better!  

PLEASE DO NOT UNDERESTEMATE THE RARETY OF THIS VERY EARLIEST EVER ORIGINAL AND TOTALY COMPLETE 1ST UK PRESSING  VERY RARELY SEEN IN THIS CONDITION VERY COLLECTABLE AND SOUGHT AFTER ORIGINAL!!!!!
