LED ZEPPELIN 'Physical Graffiti'
A lovely - Fully play graded - 15 photos below
EARLY UK PRESS ON SWAN SONG; SSK 89400
A1 / B5 / C1 / D1 MATRIX
ORIGINAL DIE-CUT SLEEVE WITH CORRECT KINGS ROAD ADDRESS TO THE REAR
INCLUDES THE ORIGINAL CARD INSERT (GOTHIC PRINT FINISHERS) AND PRINTED INNERS ALL IN GREAT CONDITION
CONDITION REPORT & PHOTO GALLERY AUDIO: This has been completely play graded from start to finish at volume and all sides played through nicely. The clarity of the audio was bright and clear without a hint of distortion. There is some crackle present in places/some of the quieter passages, but nothing that I felt was particularly intrusive so I will grade as VERY GOOD(+)overall. Very few pops/clicks, however.
During the louder tracks, the crackle is not noticeable. Nice audio throughout.
VINYL (VISUAL): VG/VERY GOOD(+); the vinyl looks fine but does have some light superficial marks and hairlines noticeable + the usual wispy sleeve removal marks. More than presentable.
LABELS: All look great; bright and clean with no rips, tears or writing. Just some very light spindle marking consistent with having been played.
SLEEVE, INNERS & INSERT: The die-cut outer sleeve is a super example and grades as EXCELLENT(+) with just a tiny bit of ring and shelf . Both spines are close to perfect with all text still clearly legible. No damage at all to any of the 'windows' and very little wear at all to the opening edges. Looks great.
The inner sleeves are both in superb NM/MINT condition with next to no wear at all. Wonderful.
The insert is made of thin card (later pressings had paper) and is in EXCELLENT condition with just some light signs of age and a small amount of writing in blue ink to the side 1/2 page which is barely noticeable (top right; see photos below).

GRADING
Unless otherwise stated, all of my records have been play tested before listing using a Rega P3-24 turntable with Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge & stylus. I describe honestly and accurately but please bear in mind that I am only human and such things are always subjective. I tend to grade records conservatively and believe that my feedback speaks for itself.
Please take confidence from the fact that I have been a collector myself for over 20 years (please check my feedback as a buyer) and know only too well how disappointing it is to receive an inaccurately described record.
I also grade visually using a strong halogen lamp.
I use the Record Collector grading system as shown below.
I am more than happy, in most instances, to provide a play grade on a record listed as a visual grade only. If a buyer wishes to return a record based off a visual grade only, I cannot cover the cost of return postage unless I have missed an obvious flaw.
POSTAGE / SHIPPING
I post worldwide and pack all records in custom made (stiff) card mailers and add extra packaging inside to ensure a safe delivery. I will provide a protective polythene sleeve and the record and inner will be removed from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits in transit. I want your record to get to you in the condition that it was when it left me.
For any records that come with printed inner sleeves, I will also provide an additional plain inner.
As a general rule, shipping will be discounted ie. I lose money on the costs of buying my packaging. I do not profit from this; please remember that my costs are not simply those shown on the stamp!
Please send me a message if anything is unclear and I will be happy to help.
RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
