Description
Led Zeppelin / Led Zeppelin – Classic/Atlantic Records SD-8216 (2000)(US) ...This auction is for a High Quality (200 Gram Quiex pressing) Audiophile Record that was a limited edition release from Classic Records and is now out of print and highly collectible.
This debut album is from what was to be one of the biggest rock bands ever. Signed by Ahmet Ertegan to Atlantic, based on their blues roots and Jimmy Page's guitar reputation from his Yardbird days, this release from 1969 became an instant classic blend of English power riffs and rock plus the Chicago blues they were weaned on. Besides Page's virtuoso guitar style this album introduced the rest of the world to the distinctive banshee wail of vocalist Robert Plant, the late John Bonham's thunderous drumming and the sensitive bass and keyboards of John Paul. It was the launching of a phenomenon.
