I am currently selling a superb collection featuring some of the best of British Rock and Prog. This collection has many first pressings and includes some records which appear to have never been played.
This is an absolutely superb example of the first pressing of Led Zeppelin's debut LP. It has the turquoise lettering on the cover, Superhype credits on the labels and the following uncorrected matrix numbers:
588171 A//1
588171 B//1
Vinyl: The vinyl looks superb and has retained its original high sheen. It has clearly been very well cared for. Under bright light just fine hairlines and sleeve removal-type marks were visible on either side. I have played the entire LP and it sounds brilliant. There is some background noise and crackle audible in the quiet passages and the run-ins/outs, fades, silent grooves and intros, and the occasional random click but there is absolutely nothing loud or intrusive. There are no jumps, skips or sticking and no repetitive clicks. This is a superb example of this LP and was a real pleasure to listen to.
Labels: Both labels look great with absolutely no signs of damage, writing, stickers etc and just typical spindle marking.
Sleeve: The sleeve is really nice and clean with no damage, writing, splits, tears or stickers etc and just very light signs of use. This is the best example of this desirable sleeve that I have ever seen, but for the sake of completeness here are the very minor flaws which I noticed: on the front there is one small oxbow laminate crease and a thumbnail scratch in the belly of the Zeppelin and a laminate crease in the top left corner (see photos). On the rear there is a laminate crease above John Bonham's head, a very feint one across Jimmy Page's chest and a tiny oxbow in JPJ's hair. There is laminate lift along the spine, but absolutely no cracking, flaking or peeling. These issues are all very minor and I'm sure there can't be many that are better than this.
Edge wear: There is no wear to the laminated edges or spine and just minimal wear to the exposed edges and opening. The spine is clean and solid, totally legible and has no cracks or flaking at all.
Corner wear: minimal at the openings and moderate at the spine.
Inner sleeve: Original poly-lined inner.
Other inserts: n/a
Detracting features not covered above - none. This is, without doubt, the best example of this that I have ever seen. I think you would have to wait a long time to find a better one.
Please check out my other items and take advantage of reduced postage costs for multiple buys.

Information about descriptions.
My records are always described accurately and fairly. I always do my best to point out any blemishes which might detract from the item and all photographs are of the actual item you will get.
Play-graded vinyl: I will always state in the listing if I have played a record prior to describing it. When I play a record I listen to it carefully through headphones with the bass and treble adjusted to expose unwanted noise. I play it all the way through (unless stated otherwise) and take notes of any noise, clicks, distortion etc which I then use to write my description. Please note that in some cases my notes are made weeks or even months before the record is listed on ebay.
First pressings and originals: Many of the records I sell are first pressings and I will usually include the relevant matrix information etc in the description. However, I can't be an expert on every artist/group and so sometimes I will use the word 'original' to identify a pressing which I think might be a first pressing, but don't know for sure (but which is certainly NOT a recent pressing or audiophile release etc). If you specifically want a first pressing, and know how to identify it, please ask the relevant questions before you bid.
