To find an original copy of this with the withdrawn "Livin wovin WRECK" and "Lemon song" credit in nice condition is getting to find..plus it comes with the original first press LIGHT BROWN cover
Cover:
The original first press E J DAY LIGHT BROWN gatefold cover is close to being in EXCELLENT condition,a lot of these covers are now badly worn with severe ring wear and spine damage..but this has not..even the spine is nice
Front:The front is very clean with no bad ring wear, there are hardly any visible creases just a tiny bit of wear on the zeppelin.Corners are nice with just a little rubbing, there is no fethering on the opening edge i am pleased to inform. The only real damage is in the top right corner there is a pin hole..see photo
Inside Gatefold: The inside of the gatefold cover would be mint, but in both top corners there again is a small pin hole (it seems this cover has been pinned to a wall)
Back: The back like the front has no ring wear, there are a few creases evident and rubbing on the corner tips.In the top left corner is the pin hole, also in the bottom right is written a small name and date..other than this its a nice cover
Edges/Spine: The edges are not split but has some rubbing, the spine is also unsplit and has a tiny bit od rubbing mainly on edges but the text is fully readable...normally these spines are completly worn
Original inner:
The original poly lined inner which has the blue "warning","made in england","british patent no..." text on the bottom is in EXCELLENT condition..no splits, tears or writing just one side of the poly inner has come away
Labels:
The red/marron labels are in EXCELLENT condition..no damage just some faint spindle marks
Record
Visually the record looks AMAZING!!..as i mentioned above when you first look at it and see the jet black surface you can see that it is very nice..it LOOKS NEAR MINT in normal light and has full gloss and shine with no groove wear. When you look under a very strong light and tilt it at different angles you can just see some hairline marks/scratches...again no fingernail ones though..so would visually grade VERY GOOD+/VERY GOOD++...really nice copy which i have strongly graded as some i feel would grade excellent
The audio is superb, the record is unwarped and does not stick or jump, there are no loud crackles...and a lot of the tracks on my system PLAY MINT-...really is a pleasure to listen to,you will because of the age of the record have in places very tiny bits of light static but this i think was "built in" on original records from the 60/70`s but i proper clean on a record cleaning machine may help...BUT IT DOES SOUND AMAZING!! for an lp so old
