LEE MORGAN: "LEEWAY" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, BLP 4034. Original 1960 MONO vinyl 1st pressing with the classic DEEP GROOVE Blue & White labels and the 47 WEST 63rd NYC address on both labels! "EAR" & RVG stamped in the trail-off on both sides. Heavy vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover. Liner notes on back written by Nat Hentoff. The personnel: Lee Morgan/trumpet; Jackie McLean/alto sax; Bobby Timmons/piano; Paul Chambers/bass; Art Blakey/drums. The vinyl is in VG+ to VG condition (beautiful high gloss, some light sleeve marks & a few thin hairlines). Jacket is in VG+ to VG shape, displays nicely. Spine has some wear/spitting approx. 2½" at bottom. Tiny portion of top & bottom seams taped very discreetly. There is slight wear at corner tips. No bar code, no cut-out markings, and the laminated front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 43 West 61st St., New York 23. The songs are: These Are Soulful Days; The Lion And The Wolff; Midtown Blues; Nakatini Suite.
