This is an original MONO pressing , NOT a remaster or reissue.
Cover: EX Original thick cardboard. Nice clean, shiny and stiff cover. No seam splits. All four corners good. Very slight ding on Top Right and Bottom Left. No sign of ring wear. Some minor age staining on flipside.
Disc: EX+
Nice, beautiful, shiny black record with only a couple of very minor scuffs.
The occasional click can be heard but, other than that, this record plays beautifully.
Faintest of spindle trails on labels.
Description:
In 1964 Lee Morgan recorded what was probably his last artistically “serious” jazz record, BLP 4169 “Search for the New Land” in the company of Herbie Hancock, Grant Green and Wayne Shorter. In the same year his album “The Sidewinder” set cash registers ringing for Blue Note, entering the Billboard charts, and drawing Lee inexorably toward commercial “Pop-Bop with subsequent releases.
