Description
Unusual copy of "Sidewinder" by Lee Morgan with original 1st issue mono cover with added 'stereo' sticker and West 61st St NY address. Label is Division of Liberty used circa 1966 to 1970. VanGelder & STEREO are stamped in the runoff matrix along with inscribed catalog number & A or B (no 'ear'). This copy was likely released in 1966 using an earlier jacket. The original release date was 1964, so this is an early copy. Discogs lists this as the 2nd issue, but with this cover it is a variant that is not listed. Jacket is VG+ with split at center of bottom edge, corners lightly bumped & minor fraying at extremities. Record is NM/NM- very clean, a few minor visible scuffs & scratches. Plays very nicely
