Description

ITEM:    LEE MORGAN  -  " The Sidewinder "

NOTE:  ORIGINAL - NEW YORK USA PRESSING

.........Lee was justifiably proud of the way this session turned out.  The rhythm section was as stimulating as he expected, but the special pleasure of the occasion was the opportunity to share the front line with Joe Henderson...............

............In my opinion the most important part of this date was the BILLBOARD #1 HIT  -THE SIDWINDER -   Blue Note's only top 40 #1 hit......and the start of a new Funky sound for Blue Note................
