Description
George Faith - To Be A Lover b/w Lee Perry & The Upsetters - Rastaman Shuffle 12". Black Art, 1977. Vinyl is super clean Near Mint. Upsetters Disco Bum sleeve is VG+ with clear tape on spine, some edge wear, and is cut about an inch too small at opening...you gotta love Jamaican manufacturing. Original Jamaican Pressing. Very, very clean copy...but I must mention that Rastaman Shuffle jumps a couple times in the middle. This is due to the pressing, as there are no marks, nothing in the grooves, and it has been VPI cleaned. This would lead me to believe that most or all of these pressings are like this.
Classic Black Ark recordings here in their full discomix glory. Interestingly, the Rastaman Shuffle version here is unique to this Black Art pressing. Alternate mix to the Island / Black Swan 12" and subsequently the Arkology boxset. Dillinger cannot be heard here at all in the mix, just crisp musicianship and LOUD horns. Killer piece for Lee Perry collectors.
