Obscure and desirable UK funk cum crossover soul by Trinidad born singer, Lee Vanderbilt with cult Indian producer, Appalah Biddu at the controls. "It's Dawn Again" is the killer atmospheric funk side with big bassline, hypnotic afro beat style percussion and stoned fender rhodes. SideB is also superb, an unusual disco take on Island soul with feel-good ambience and funky rhythms that just builds and builds. Top horn section to both sides. Great for DJs! Disc cut loud with big production sound. Vanderbilt was behind Biddu's "Funky Tropical" disco recording a few years later.
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, strong VG++ (actually better) regardless of a few small squiggly scuffs and hairlines from storage / some faint old pressing residue / disc cut loud with big production sound / some light natural background noises / no original 4-prong centre
SLEEVE - not graded - original Bell company sleeve has general wear / item from the archive of an important record label who had offices in Milan, hence the archive stickers and pen notation, front and back
LABEL - 'a' and 'b' notation and archive number in pen to both sides / some natural age discoloration / a few faint old dirt marks from storage
After a 2 year gap, Pourquoi Moi Vintage is back :)

Mp3 created via a vestax portable with protective slipmat and basic audacity software but records always sound much better on a proper hi-fi system ;)
