Description

Leigh Stephens: "Red Weather" 1969, USA/Philips 600-294. Disc is in beautiful EX to M- shape, cover has just a hint of starting wear on the panels and a crack in the center of the bottom seam, it gets an EX grade and short of a sealed one I doubt you could upgrade it! Fantastic first solo LP by the original Blue Cheer guitarist is a druggy trip through the blacklight rooms of late 60s underground culture that few other records can take you on. This doesn't sound like the Blue Cheer albums that he plays on, it's more like a cross between Christopher (on Metromedia) and Randy Holden's "Population II". Recorded in Britain with legendary figures like Nicky Hopkins, Kevin Westlake of Blossom Toes, Mick Waller of The Jeff Beck Group, Ian Stuart of The Rolling Stones, etc.
