So, up for auction is a rare ORIGINAL GREEK vinyl pressing of Lena Platonos and Dimitra Galani’s Myths Of Europe [????? ??? ??????? in Greek Language] album that was released in 1991 by the leading Greek record label MINOS with Cat No MSM 1004 and Matrix Nos YGOX 3259 A’ F- [A side] and YGOX 3260 B’ F- [B side, both hand - written]! Housed in a textured cover, it featured covers of the following songs

recorded live at Roman Odeon of Patras city during the International Patras Festival on 8 July 1989, sung in Italian, English and French by the popular Greek singer and composer Dimitra Galani and conducted and arranged by Lena Platonos who played the piano and sung too!

Lena Platonos is a Greek musician, pianist and music composer. One of the pioneers of Greek electronic music, she remains active today. Born in Heraklion, Crete and grew up in Athens she began learning how to play the piano at the age of two and became a professional pianist before turning eighteen. Soon afterwards, she received a scholarship to study in the Berlin and Vienna Academies, where she was exposed to jazz, rock and Middle Eastern music. She returned to Greece in the late 70’s, began working with the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation and released 3 collaborative albums between ’81 - ‘83 but it was her “triptych” of solo albums, Sun Masks [‘84), Gallop [‘85] and Lepidoptera [‘86] that would lead many to call her the Greek Laurie Anderson or Mother of Greek electronica…[Dark Entries Press Release]

Grading:I use the GOLDMINE standards for grading STRICTLY & CONSERVATIVELY  the condition of the items listed. The grading is mostly visual, though I d? “spot check” each of the songs.
