Summary

SERIOUSLY RARE UK Apple SAPCOR 11 John and Yoko WEDDING ALBUM Vinyl LP BOX SET released on 7 November 1969 in celebration of John and Yoko’s Wedding which took place in Gibralter on 20 March 1969.

This was John’s Third UK Solo release, and the third in a series of experimental music. As with John and Yoko’s previous two experimental releases, it did not sell well, and again never made the charts.

In summary, this ELABORATE Box set is TOTALLY COMPLETE with ALL its ORIGINAL NEAR MINT to MINT inserts and contains:

The LP in a plain white ‘Made in Gt Britain’ inner bag, protected in a fully laminated gatefold picture sleeve. A double-sided Poster entitled ‘The Wedding’ with 12 wedding pictures A piece of Wedding Cake! (well, a photograph of one anyway) A copy of the Marriage Certificate (pasted into the lid of the box). A tri-fold cartoon strip by John of the wedding . A white PVC Bagism bag. A strip of four Passport Photos. A Hair Peace/Bed Peace Postcard, and A 20-page booklet of press cuttings entitled ‘The Press’.

The package was designed by John Kosh, with photography by Mlle. Daniau, Richard DiLello, John Kelly, Nico Koster, David Nutter and John and Yoko.

Official Side 1 stamped matrix: SAPCOR 11A-1 and side 2: SAPCOR 11B-1.
