ET QU'EST CE QUE TU CROIS ? / OH! JENNY / AU SOLEIL... AU SOLEIL D'ETE / T'AS LE TRAC ... 7-inch, 45rpm EP single by LES GARDIANS. Original French biem pressing on the PHILIPS label (437.078 BE), from 1965. Super-obscure release by these cult French kids featuring an outstanding, mod club banger ;) Similar vibe to our Les Missiles EP (on auction right now) so expect another delicious mix of garage freakbeat / funky yéyé and psychedelic pop. The ET QU'EST CE QUE TU CROIS ? theme is killer with soaring vocals over amphetamine driven, funky rhythms with Farfisa organ / psych guitars / breaks and beats. Tres cool, mid '60s garage sound. Great for DJs. Booming production and as good as anything from the Le Beat Bespoke series. We have also recorded the OH! JENNY theme which is mod soul with a potent beat. Big drum breakdowns and psychedelic organ solos. All the themes on this EP were comped on Plein Feux Sur... for the LCD label (with other trax by Les Mercenaires group). Fabulous picture sleeve artwork showing these young French hipsters too. Seldom comes up for sale. Rare EP!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, VG++ condition overall with some hairlines and scuffs. Light surface noises. Booming production sound. The laminated flipback picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with minimal light wear. Archive number in pen (back sleeve bottom left corner) and removed sticker mark to back sleeve top right corner. No languette. Natural age discoloration. Rare EP!!!

Please feel free to contact us with any condition queries you may have preferably before bidding. We will get back to you asap.
