Condition : the cover in glossy cardboard on both sides shows a slight ring wear and some creasing in the upper part of the front side, NEAR MINT / vinyl despite not showing visible flaws to listening reveals some moderate swishing sound in the second track on both sides and a few slight clicks, EX

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : Marianne Faithfull che abbandona l'uomo che ha sposato da poco tempo per correre con la sua potente moto dall'amante impersonato da  Alain Delon. La strada è lunga e nella sua mente affiorano tanti ricordi come sogni psichedelici fino al tragico epilogo. Tutto questo nelle musiche di Les Reed. S'incomincia con il suono rombante della motocicletta poi un tema molto percussivo con belle sonorità di Hammond, strumenti a fiato, percussioni ed effetti sonori. Nel secondo brano dopo la voce in Tedesco del doganiere un suono forte e percussivo riflette la corsa della moto con brevi intervalli dove l'orchestra rasserena l'atmosfera. Nel secondo lato dopo un inizio lento guidato dall'orchestra interviene un prolungato sibilo molto lento emesso da qualche effetto sonoro come a voler riflettere uno stato d'animo in subbuglio ed anche allucinazioni psichedeliche, inoltre la voce di Marianne per brevi attimi e poi sono coinvolte le percussioni. Nell'ultimo brano dopo un inizio condotto dalla sezione d'archi si avvertono i gemiti della Faithfull e gli effetti sonori con lo schianto mortale, poi la chitarra ed i violini eseguono una triste melodia. Notes : Marianne Faithfull leaves the man with whom she was married from a short time for running with her powerful bike by the lover impersonated by Alain Delon. The road is long in her mind many memories emerge as psychedelic dreams until the tragic end. All this in the music of Les Reed. One begins with the roaring sound of the motorcycle then a very percussive theme with beautiful Hammond sonorities, wind instruments, percussion and sound effects. In the second track after the voice of the German customs officer a loud, and percussive sound reflects the bike ride with short intervals where the orchestra calms the atmosphere. In the second side after a slow start led by the orchestra there is a prolonged very slow hiss emitted by some sound effects as if to reflect a state of mind in turmoil and even psychedelic hallucinations, in addition to the voice of Marianne for short moments land ater the involvement of percussion. In the last track after a start led by the string section you can hear the Faithfull's groans and sound effects with the deadly crash, then the guitar and violins perform a sad melody.  Orchestra conducted by Douglas Gamley. 

Un film, a mio avviso da considerarsi non datato per chi ha sale nella zucca e riesce a sintonizzarsi all'epoca della storia. Biker sentimentale, psichedelico e drammatico prodotto da Francia e Gran Bretagna. Regia di Jack Cardiff, con Marianne Faithfull, Alain Delon e Roger Mutton.
