THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN A THICK CARD SLEEVE WITH THE NESSA CHICAGO ADDRESS
Numbers 1 & 2 is a 1967 album by Lester Bowie featuring a line-up which later became the Art Ensemble of Chicago.
It was released on the Nessa label and features performances by Bowie, Roscoe Mitchell, Malachi Favors, and Joseph Jarman.
The music is spontaneous showing expert use of space, reaching some surprising conclusions and very advanced for 1967
Lester Bowie: trumpet, flugelhorn, steer horn, kelp horn
Roscoe Mitchell: alto saxophone, soprano saxophone, flute, recorder, gourd, bells, gong
Malachi Favors: bass, kazoo
Joseph Jarman: alto saxophone, soprano saxophone, clarinet, bassoon, bells (on "Number 2")

Clean, bright and factory-fresh with no spindles or signs of use

Both surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen and are unmarked (save for some light pressing blemishes common on US vinyl which have no audio consequence)

Apart from the (very) occasional 'tick' (just to remind you that you're listening to vinyl) this copy is like-new and has possibly never even been played.
The audio performance is sensational throughout and the cut is loud, sharp and incredibly immediate - great stuff

The cover still retains its original shrink-wrapping and is MINT bar the tiniest bumping to the exposed opening edge
