Lester Young / Teddy Wilson – Pres And Teddy (12” LP)Lester Willis Young (August 27, 1909 - March 15, 1959), nicknamed "Pres" or "Prez", was an American jazz tenor saxophonist and occasional clarinetist. Coming to prominence while a member of Count Basie's orchestra, he was one of the most influential players on his instrument. Theodore Shaw Wilson (November 24, 1912 - July 31, 1986) was an American jazz pianist. Described by critic Scott Yanow as "the definitive swing pianist", his piano style was gentle, elegant, and virtuosic.

The album is on HMV Records, CLP 1302. Matrix side one: 2XEA 1777 - 3N (stamped). Matrix side two: 2XEA 1770 - 3N (stamped).
Released in 1958. UK pressing. Mono.

Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (has the odd light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, skips or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (has the odd light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, skips or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (front laminated, two flip-backs): very good (the odd small light edge crease, light aging).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
