I have up for auction a rare and wonderful Album Set of 5 records (All 12" 78s) on a blue The Library Of Congress label, Division Of Music. I have nearly all of the 21 or 22 Sets and will be listing them over the next few months. All recorded in the field by various people, often the Lomaxes, this Set Recorded and Edited by William N. Fenton-Smithsonian Institute, 1941. This one is Folk Music Of The United States, Album VI, "Songs from the Iroquois Longhouse"-From the Archive of American Folk Song. The records are: 

1. #26-A, "The Creator's Songs..The Great Feather Dance" ('osto'we'gowa--Seneca). Sung with turtle rattle by Chancey Johnny John of Allegany Reservation, N.Y., 1941. 

2. #26-B, "Midwinter Festival Chants", Sung by Joshua Buck, Chief Joseph Logan, Simean Gibson and Chancey Johnny John of Six Nations Reserve, Canada and Allegany Reservation, N.Y., 1941.  

3. #27-A, "Medicine Men's Celebration", (hadihi'dus)-Onondaga, Sung with gourd rattle by Chief Joseph Logan (Six Nation Res.). 

4. #27-B, "The Medicine Dane" (Selections), Sung with gourd rattle by Chief Joseph Logan again, 1941. 

5. #28-A, "The False-Face Company--Six Nations, Canada", Sung by Joshua Buck and Simean Gibson, Six Nations Res., 1941. 

6. #28-B, "Corn Song"-Cayuga, Sung by George Buck with companion, Six Nations Res., 1941. 

7. #29-A, 1. "War Dances", "The Iroquois War Dance" (wasaa'se') as of 1812-Cayuga and 2. "The Scalp Dance"-a modern show song. Sung with water drum and horn rattle by George and Joshua Buck at Six Nations Res., 1941. 

8. #29-B, "Eagle of Striking Dance" (gane'gwa''e')-Onandaga, A variant of the calumet dance, Sung with water drum and horn rattle by Chief Joseph Logan, Six Nations Res.-Canada, 1941. 

9. #30-A, "Social Dances", "The Warrior's Stomp Dance" or "Trotting Dance"--Seneca. Onandaga, Sung by Joshua Buck and Simean Gibson, Six Nations.., 1941. 

10. #30-B, "Women's Shuffle Dance"--Modern Cayuga, Sung with water drum and horn rattle by George and Joshua Buck, Six Nations.., 1941.      

     The records are in very good plus to excellent condition, hardly any wear and scuffs and scratches are few, light and surface variety. Surfaces still fairly shiny and clean. Each is a somewhat thinner, flexible 78, less breakable, thus better and safer for shipping. Cover and inside sleeves in very good condition as well. As mentioned I have nearly all of the Sets including the very desirable ALBUM IV with Muddy Waters and Sonny Terry. (One copy recently sold for a very high final bid!). Great and rare collectibles, and I will be listing perhaps one per week.
