Life Is Boring So Why Not Steal This Record compilation PROMO 1983 LP
US New Underground NU-55 I am selling the other Life Is.. records as well. (Germs - Strange Notes / Caught In My Eye / Minutemen - Base King / Red Kross - Out Of Focus / Modern Warfare - Moral Majority / Shattered Faith - The Omen / Anti - Without Love We Will Die / Mood Of Defiance - American Love Song / Hari-Kari - Prey For Peace / Sin 34 - Forced Education //Artistic Decline - Friday Punk / Modern Torture - Fascist Media / Invisible Chains - Paisley Douche/Cactus Juice / Slivers - Restraint For Style / Vox Pop - Tumble Bug / Marshall Mellow - Marshmellow Children // Carl Stone - Jang / Doo-dooettes - Red Wrec. Said (Version) / Zurich 1916 - No Canvas / Tone Deaf - Story Of A T.V. Murder / Debt Of Nature - And It Got Hit By A Truck / Your Life Means Nothing) Calls itself a three-sided album, Sides two and three are contained on side B and simply follow one another. Side A is pretty straightahead hardcore. Side B is more experimental. The first part of the side two is an extension of side A. The second part of the side two is artsy. Side three is mostly tape manipulation stuff. The Germs songs were recorded live at the Hong Kong Cafe. The Anti cut is without drummer John Crawford. Sin 34 drummer Dave Markey calls himself Dave Hector for some reason. The Vox Pop cut features the vocal stylings of Don Bolles of 45 GRAVE. Marshall Mellow's song appears on this album after some technical problems kept it off the Life Is Beautiful comp.[TW]
