A VERY RARE BLUES LP
US ORIGINAL 1959( ? ) pressing of the fantastically rare early LIGHTNIN' LP..
Solid thick heavy vinyl and plays wonderfully!
Excellent rhythm and blues guitar, and highly respected by British blues players like Clapton and Mayall.
VINYL IN VG- to VG+ CONDITION, several marks and obviously played a fair amount. There is a scratch for several millimeters to side 1, for part of the opening track, which does sound.
This is a super example of Lightin' Hopkins' endearing and enduring style. The platter is a heavy and solid old pressing on classic early vintage vinyl, inflexible but deep groove. Of course there is some noise, but as expected from this era of pressing, and for a used lp.
LABLES are quite clean and bright, with spindle marks.
VG++ for the SINGLE SLEEVE HARD CARD COVER.
LITTLE SIGN OF AGING, NICE REAR COVER! This looks a very acceptable example, no writing or stickers.
A RESPECTABLE COPY OF A SUPER-SCARCE ORIGINAL VINTAGE ALBUM!
