LIGHTNIN' HOPKINS - RARE, OUT-OF-PRINT, ACCOUSTIC COUNTRY BLUES, NEVER PLAYED!
This classic 1970 compilation, from the very limited Barnaby Candid Series (pressed and distributed by CBS records), has the Texas-born bluesman Lightnin' Hopkins on nine unaccompanied solos, not only singing and playing guitar but also performing a rare solo on piano (on "Lightnin's Piano Boogie"). He recorded dozens of albums in the 1960s, all very listenable. This release is one of his better sets from the period, highlighted by "Take It Easy," "Mighty Crazy," and "Mister Charlie." However, this rare album release included an additional track, "Black Cat," which was not found on the original Candid release years earlier.

On the record: Vinyl (Mint +); cover is VG+ with minor ring wear on the front and some on the back and some fading in color mostly due to the fact that it was light gray on flat matted paper.
A different version of this LP, minus the extra track, has also been released with a different cover, etc. This is the RAREST of the two!
