Description
Here are two Hopkins 78's for sale together with one nice side and one V side to each record. Gold Star 3131 is his first issued record on that label. 'Big Mama jump' is fine uptempo side with Joel Hopkins adding 2nd guitar to a great foot tapper. The reverse 'Short Haired Woman' is overall clean but has wear and plays with steady surface. Gold Star 656 best side 'Rolling woman blues' is an atypical Hopkins recording with an almost jazzy feel with a piano and sax in the background. Hopkins guitar and vocals predominate though. The reverse -'Unsuccessfull blues' - is the usual style blues but plays with steady surface despite looking clean and shiny. Both V sides have no nasty digs etc.
What you have on offer are two nice sounding sides and two lesser ones. Neither record is that easy to find there days,
