Limbonic Art “Epitome of Illusions” Picture Disc LP

Symphonic Black Metal from Sandefjord, Norway, with lyrical themes based on death and darkness.

Full-length licensed in 1998 by Nocturnal Art Productions, Norway, and released by Merciless Records, Germany. Limited edition of 500 copies! This album is mint and unplayed!
 
This release is comprised of re-recordings of material from the band's pre-label demos.

The following is a statement by the band:

"We know that it is a f*cking cliche when a band, after releasing a couple of albums, they release their demos. We still did in the interest to show our audience, what has contributed to our destiny with nocturnal art, and maybe the point we are standing today. We serve you a slight piece of history before the debut album "Moon in the Scorpio", the very limited rehearsals. Due to extremely bad quality on the original mastertapes, we decided to recreate the production, with a little touch of new inspiration and spirit. It may amuse
some and bring frustration to others, but our final message to our audience is this: Take this for what it is... And enjoy the listening!"

Additional notes:
Limbonic Art was formed in 1993 by Daemon, and was originally a full band featuring 3 other members. Daemon got in touch with Morfeus after the demise of the first line-up.

They recorded two demo tapes (consisting of 4 and 5 songs respectively) which gained them a contract with Nocturnal Art Productions. The label also released an official promo tape in 1996, prior to the release of the debut album.

Limbonic Art participated in the Mayhem tribute "Originators Of The Northern Darkness", released by Avantgarde Music in 2001, covering the song "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas."

The band disbanded in 2003, feeling they had run out of ideas, however they reformed on June 6, 2006.
